Meet the Doctors

Dr. Marion Harris, DVM

Marion Harris, DVM

When you call Country View, there's a good chance Dr. Marion Harris answers — a Northwest Arkansas native with over 45 years of experience caring for small and large animals. He knows this community because he grew up in it, and he's been dedicated to its animals ever since.

Dr. Harris earned his degree in Domestic Animal Biology from the University of Arkansas and graduated from the Louisiana School of Veterinary Medicine in 1979. He started his career in Springdale, returned to Gravette, and opened his own clinic in 1980 — the foundation of what is now Country View Animal Care Center.

Beyond the clinic, Dr. Harris co-teaches a Sunday Life Group, mentors local 4-H and FFA students, and has been married to his wife Connie since 1971. He's a proud father and grandfather of two children and six grandchildren.

Whether it's a routine wellness visit or a large-animal farm call, Dr. Harris brings 45+ years of grounded, community-rooted care to every patient. Call (479) 787-6284 to book a visit.

Stacey Rodine, DVM

If your dog or cat is your family, Dr. Stacey Rodine gets it. She has devoted her career to companion animals since 2001 — earning a reputation for a gentle touch, clear communication, and the kind of relationship-centered care that keeps pets and their people coming back.

Originally from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Dr. Rodine earned her veterinary degree from Oklahoma State University after completing her undergraduate studies in Tulsa. She practiced in Tulsa for 16 years — earning the title of Tulsa's Best Vet in 2011 — before relocating to Northwest Arkansas in 2016 to be closer to family. She joined the Country View team in 2017.

Dr. Rodine and her husband, Kurt, have four children — Valry, Kurtis, Ryan, and Gavin. Outside the clinic, she volunteers in her church's children's ministry and hikes the local trails with her husband. To book a companion-animal visit, call (479) 787-6284.

Mackenzie Overstreet, DVM

Dr. Mackenzie Overstreet is as Country View as it gets — born and raised in Gravette, she got her very first job right here at the clinic when she was sixteen. Veterinary medicine was never a maybe; it was always the plan.

After graduating from Gravette High School, she earned a bachelor's degree in Animal Science from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, then received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona.

Dr. Overstreet sees large, small, and exotic animals — equine dentistry, soft tissue surgery, herd health management — bringing the same skilled, compassionate care to every species.

From Dr. Overstreet: "My passion for this profession has only grown thanks to the incredible doctors and staff here at Country View. I'm so grateful to be back home and look forward to building lasting relationships with you and your beloved fur babies!"

Dr. James Benson, DVM

James Benson, DVM

Originally from Bakersfield, California, Dr. James Benson served five years in the U.S. Army before settling in Arkansas in 1973 — and he's called it home ever since. He earned both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the University of Arkansas (where he also played rugby) and went on to receive his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Tuskegee Institute in 1983.

Dr. Benson has practiced across Alabama, Mississippi, and Arkansas — Fayetteville and Little Rock both — before settling in Gravette in 1992 and joining Dr. Harris's practice. The two partnered in 2005 to open what is now Country View Animal Care Center. That partnership — decades in the making — is the backbone of the clinic you're calling today.

When he's not caring for your animals, Dr. Benson helps run a cattle farm with his brother, cheers on the Razorbacks and New York Yankees, and spends time with his nieces and nephews. He's the kind of vet who grew up with animals and has never stopped loving them. Call (479) 787-6284 — his team is ready.
